
If your Wii console is currently connected online (how to), you can download the latest Wii System Update by selecting the "Wii System Update" button from Wii System Settings menu. Downloading the latest Wii System Update will add the most current features to your Wii console. If you already have the latest update, on-screen messaging will indicate so after the Wii console searches the available Wii System Updates.

How to determine what Wii Menu version you have
- With the Wii console properly connected, power on the console to reach the Wii Channel menu.
- Use the Wii Remote to move the cursor over the "Wii" button in the bottom-left corner of the screen and press the A Button.
- From the main Wii Menu and System Settings screen, use the Wii Remote to move the cursor over the "Wii Settings" option (wrench), and press the A Button to enter the System Settings.
- The Wii menu version number will be displayed in the top-right corner of the screen.
To get the latest Wii System Update
- Make sure your Wii console is successfully connected online (more info).
- Access the Wii System Settings (how
to).
- Click on the blue arrow twice to reach the Wii System Settings
3 menu options.
- Select "Wii System Update" and press the A Button.
- Select "Yes," and read any messaging regarding obtaining the udpate. If you agree to the messaging, select "I Accept."
- The Wii console will now search for the latest Wii System Update.
- If an update is available, it will be downloaded and installed automatically.
