What’s in a name?
According to Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto, ‘We named the protagonist Link because he connects people together. He was supposed to spread the scattered energy of the world through the ages.’
Link is left-handed…mostly.
In the Nintendo GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Link maintained his left-handed swing, while the Wii version of the game was mirrored, making Link right-handed. This was done to better suit right-handed players taking advantage of the motion controls of the Wii Remote controller.
A multi-instrumentalist.
Link is quite the musician. Throughout all of his adventures, he has played numerous musical instruments, including the harp, ocarinas, flutes, and the instruments of the Sirens.
