Game Purchased On the Nintendo Website Is Not Appearing On My Console

Situation:

A game purchased through the Nintendo website is not appearing on the console associated with your Nintendo Account.

Important: If you recently made the purchase and the game has still not started downloading, check the Network Maintenance page for any maintenance/service outage. If there is an outage or maintenance, it is possible that the download process may be delayed. Try again after the posted maintenance/service outage has ended.

Key Point:

  • Games purchased through the Nintendo website will automatically download to the console associated with your Nintendo Account.

  • For pre-purchases, the game will be pre-loaded to your system at the time of your order. You'll see an icon for the game on your HOME menu, but you will not be able to launch the game until it is officially released. You'll be able to start playing after downloading a small update on the game's release date.

What to Do:

  • Make sure that your console is connected to the internet and meets these requirements.

  • Check the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu to see if there is a game icon that shows that the download is currently in progress. If the download is still in progress, wait until the download is complete.

  • Check "Data Management" in Nintendo Switch System Settings to verify that there is enough space on your system to complete the download. If there is not enough space, delete some content.

  • Check “Redownloads” in the Nintendo Switch eShop (in your account information). Any games that have been purchased or redeemed on the system will appear here, and can be re-downloaded at no additional cost.

  • Verify that the funds were taken from your Nintendo eShop balance. If the funds are still there, the order did not go through.

Situation Not Resolved:

If you were charged for the game but you are still unable to locate it in your Nintendo eShop, please contact our Customer Support.
