How to Add Funds in Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch
Instructions on adding funds in Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch using a credit card or prepaid funds card.
Additional Information:
If you are only adding funds to purchase a single title, you can add funds directly when you purchase the software.
An internet connection and Nintendo Account are required to access Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.
Complete These Steps:
Select “Nintendo eShop” on the HOME Menu to launch Nintendo eShop.
Select the account you want to use.
How do you want to add funds to your Nintendo Account?
Select your user icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
Select “Add Funds” in the upper-right corner.
Select “Credit Card”.
Select the amount of money that you want to add.
Enter the credit card number, expiry date, security code, and post code, and select “Next”.
If Nintendo eShop exists for your region, credit cards issued from your region will not work in a different region’s eShop. (For example, credit cards issued in Australia will only work in Nintendo eShop for Australia)
Select “Confirm,” then “Add Funds”. The funds will automatically be applied to your balance.
Select “Redeem Code” on the left side of the screen.
You can also reach this by selecting “Add Funds” in your Account Information, then “Nintendo eShop Card".
Enter the 16-character prepaid code, then select “OK”.
Any letters and symbols not used with prepaid codes (i.e. O, I, Z, commas, hyphens, etc.) will be disabled from the on-screen keyboard.
Select “Confirm”, then “Add Funds”. The funds will automatically be applied to your balance.
Select your user icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
Select “Add Funds” in the upper-right corner.
Select “PayPal”.
This option is only available to Nintendo Account owners aged 18 years or older.
Link your PayPal account to your Nintendo Account, if you have not already done so.
Select the currency amount that you want to add.
Select “Add Funds”. The funds will automatically be applied.
