How to Link or Unlink a Nintendo Network ID to a Nintendo Account
Instructions on linking or unlinking a Nintendo Network ID (NNID) and a Nintendo Account.

Complete These Steps:
Do you want to link a new NNID or unlink an existing NNID from your Nintendo Account?
How do you want to link your NNID to your Nintendo Account?
Select your user icon on the HOME Menu of your Nintendo Switch console.
Highlight “Friend Suggestions”, then use the L and R Buttons to highlight the image of the Wii U console or Nintendo 3DS system. Select Next.
Wii U and Nintendo 3DS images do not appear: The Nintendo Switch console will need to have a system version of 3.0 or higher for Wii U/Nintendo 3DS images to appear on the friend suggestions screen.
"Next" option does not appear: If the "Next" button does not appear when you highlight one of the images, you have already linked your NNID to the Nintendo Account.
Enter your Nintendo Account password when prompted.
Read the information about linking a Nintendo Network ID, then select Next.
Enter your Nintendo Account password when prompted.
Enter your Nintendo Network ID and password, then select Sign In to complete the link.
Forgot NNID or NNID password: If you cannot remember your NNID or password, use the "Forgot your ID?" or "Forgot your password?" links on the screen to request an email with the information.
Message: "Another account has already been linked": This means that the NNID you are trying to link has already been linked to a different Nintendo Account. You will need to unlink the NNID from the other Nintendo Account before you can link it to this one.
The NNID cannot be linked because the date of birth or country/region setting doesn't match: The NNID date of birth and country/region setting must match the date of birth and country/region setting for your Nintendo Account.

Go to http://accounts.nintendo.com and sign in to your Nintendo Account.
Select Your Info, then select Change in the "Linked Apps and Services" section to view the accounts that are currently linked to your Nintendo Account.
In the "Linked Accounts" section, select Change.
Select the box next to "Nintendo Network ID".
Follow the on-screen steps to add your NNID and password.
