How to Locate a Router's SSID and SSID Broadcast Setting

Step-by-step instructions on how to locate your router's SSID and broadcast settings.
What to Do:
Locating the SSID:
Look for a sticker on your router.
Many routers provided by internet service providers have a sticker on the bottom or side, listing the default SSID. This is usually labelled as the SSID or "Network Name" and may be located next to a bar code.
Use another device connected to your network to find the SSID.
Windows
Left click the wireless signal icon (most often located on the bottom right corner of the desktop).
Within the list of networks, look for the network name listed next to "Connected". This is your network's SSID.
Mac OS
Select the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar.
Within the list of networks, look for the network name listed with a check mark. This is your network's SSID.
Android
From the Apps menu, select "Settings".
Select "Wi-Fi".
Within the list of networks, look for the network name listed next to "Connected". This is your network's SSID.
iOS
Select "Settings".
Select "Wi-Fi".
Within the list of networks, look for the network name listed with a check mark. This is your network's SSID.
