Nintendo eShop Pre-Order was Cancelled
A pre-order can be cancelled for several reasons, including if:
It was cancelled manually by the user who placed it.
You set up the pre-order to use Nintendo eShop funds but there were not enough available funds at the time of payment (7 days prior to the game’s release).
You set up the pre-order to use a credit card or PayPal account, but payment could not be processed because the credit limit had been reached or the card has expired.
The Nintendo Account that placed the pre-order has been deleted or is no longer eligible to make purchases.
The Australian Classification Board age rating of the game changed and the user who placed the pre-order is no longer allowed to purchase it due to its age rating.
A server error occurred at the time payment tried to process.
The Nintendo Account that placed the pre-order is no longer associated with any Nintendo Switch systems. If the game has not released or it has been less than 60 days since the game’s release, the pre-order is pending and can be reinstated by following our steps for when a Pre-Order is on Hold.
What to do
After a pre-order is cancelled, it is not possible to reinstate it. If the game has not been released, you can place a new pre-order. If the game has already been released, you can purchase it from Nintendo eShop.
