What Are the Different Roles in a Nintendo Account Family Group?

Information:

There are four different roles that can exist in a family group. Each role can perform different functions.

  • A Nintendo Account can have more than one role. For example, an admin aged 18+ will automatically also be assigned a parent / guardian role within the family group.

  • All current members and roles in your family group are listed in the “Family Group” section of your Nintendo Account settings.

  • If one person in the family group purchases a Nintendo Switch Online family membership, all members of the family group will be covered for as long as they remain in the purchaser's family group. Anyone aged 18+ can purchase a family membership; they do not have to be an account admin.
