A new story and new kombatants arrive in the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns Expansion paid DLC on 9/24
Fire God Liu Kang’s reimagined universe is primed for a collision with khaos. This all-new expansion continues the story of the New Era, while introducing fresh takes on three klassic characters: Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot. These fighters arrive immediately with the release of the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns Expansion paid DLC on September 24, alongside new modes, skins/costumes, attacks, and gameplay adjustments.
Continue the epic saga
Expand Liu Kang’s New Era with a new story campaign and an all-new cinematic experience. When a perilous threat arrives from an alternate timeline, led by the ruthless Titan Havik whose sole mission is to throw the realms into khaos, Liu Kang must rally his champions and put faith in his enemies to defeat this grave danger. If they fail, the New Era will be reduced to anarchy.
Cyrax
The stubborn, agile Lin Kuei struggles against expectations and training, though she has no complaints about the tools of the trade. Her multipurpose orb drones can bolster attacks directly or serve as trap bombs, while the friction-assist functions of her yellow-hued suit make getting ahold of her a longshot for fighters of any realm.
Sektor
Sektor bristles at the impertinence of Cyrax, her comrade-in-training, and the failure of resolve in others. She favors the straightest path to success and comes armed with enough rockets and jet fuel to prove it. Sektor’s crimson-tinted arsenal is sufficient to overpower most challengers from afar, and her suit’s thrusters place her among the more mobile midair fighters.
Noob Saibot
A dark secret buried in Mortal Kombat II (1993) reemerges as an evil, soulless pawn. But this shadowy puppet might be ready to cut its strings as Noob Saibot gathers swirling Netherrealm energy for ghostly projectiles, shadow underlings of his own, and dangerous portals. With attacks that differ if Noob’s shadow is present or powered up, he’s almost several fighters in one.
Guest starring…
Owners of Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns will also receive one-week early access to Ghostface (from the Scream franchise), T-1000 (from the Terminator 2: Judgment Day film), and Conan the Barbarian at later dates. What’s your favorite scary movie?
Beasts unleashed
For the first time since Mortal Kombat 3 (1995), kombatants can cap off a victorious fight by finishing off the opponent in whimsical and grisly fashions inspired by nature, red in tooth and klaw. All fighters have an Animality, and they’re available as a free update for all Mortal Kombat 1 owners.
Full game required to use DLC. Sold separately.
