Available now! Fast and fun quizzing for the entire family

Here’s a quick question for you: How brawny is your brain?

If you answered, “Brains can’t be brawny because they’re not actually muscles” … well, you’re absolutely right*!

So maybe brains aren’t brawny in the literal sense. But what if there was a fun way to compete against the brains of your loved ones (even if it’s your rocket-scientist mother)? Well, the Big Brain Academy™: Brain vs. Brain game might be that way!

It’s time for the brain event

In this game, you’ll take on a series of brain-bending activities that test your mental mettle. Each activity falls into five different categories that may light up different parts of your noggin: Identify, Memorize, Analyze, Compute, and Visualize. You can play solo if you want to test yourself or you can play Party Mode with up to four players**. The questions will get more difficult as the rounds progress, and you’ll need to quickly give the right answer to increase your score. Think of it as your own personal game show.

Single player + Weird Outfits = Weird Single Player?

Going solo? Take a fun test to get your own Big Brain Brawn score. You’ll be able to boost your skill and speed by practicing certain activities. Give it your all and try to beat your previous score!

And if you’re into customization, you can also unlock dozens of outfit options for your in-game avatar—from a monocled cat-person to … err … an ear of corn (don’t ask).

Make it a party

The goal of Party Mode is to get everyone playing together—and we do mean everyone. Before each round, players can set their own difficulty so that everyone is on the same playing field. For example, if your know-it-all brother is breezing through his questions, you can kindly suggest for him to increase his difficulty.

And if you’re playing against someone who isn’t used to quiz games, there are still chances for them to make a big comeback. This is a game about keeping the competition close!

Two-player touchscreen battles

While Party Mode can be played up to four players, there is a special two-player version that uses the touchscreen. For this mode, sit across from your opponent and lay the Nintendo Switch™ system on a table (or any flat, sturdy surface, really). The two of you will go head-to-head and use the touchscreen to input your answers at the same time. Just don’t fall for it if your friend tries to distract you.

Go online

You can also see how you match up against other brainiacs around the world. Hop into Ghost Clash mode to compete against other users’ data***. Choose from mental marvels worldwide, folks on your friends list, or family members who have profiles on the same system. Outside of Ghost Clash mode, check your rankings to see how your Big Brain Brawn matches up against others.

Try out the free demo

OK, we know that words like “test” and “competition” can make some folks feel a little uneasy. If you’re wondering if this game is for you, please try out the free demo. The demo contains three of the twenty activities and you can try out multiplayer as well. Who knows – the game may be a bit different than what you’re expecting!

You can either download the demo or purchase the game here.

*Also, good job for paying attention in science class.
