Explore underwater regions with other players online in the Endless Ocean Luminous game

You can now dive into the Endless Ocean™ Luminous game and survey the mysterious Veiled Sea, an unexplored region brimming with marine life. But your undersea journey doesn’t have to be solo—active Nintendo Switch Online members* can team up with friends and players around the world and delve the deep together.

Here’s how you can work as a team.

Share the exploration

When you play online, you can either join a shared expedition of up to 10 players with random matchmaking or up to 30 players total with a session ID** in a randomly generated ocean area. But there’s a catch. There’s no in-game voice chat, so you must rely on using friendly gestures to communicate with other divers.

Players start the 60-minute expedition in different quadrants of the map. Swim around and meet up with your fellow explorers to become “sharers”, which allows you to locate and fast travel to each other on the map.

You can also tag creatures and salvage to track their location. Other divers who are sharing with you can see your tags on the map, and vice versa. Work together to survey the area and discover as many sea creatures as you can, including mythical ones and those thought to be extinct.
