Will Team Bowser torch the competition, or will Team Donkey Kong go ape on the scoreboard? It’s up to you! Pick which heavy-hitter’s team you want to join, collect Team Tokens, and work together for ground-shaking fun in the Team Rally event during the Bowser vs. Donkey Kong Tour—the latest limited-time event in the Mario Kart Tour game, happening now!

Mario Kart Tour is for everyone, newcomers and karting veterans alike. No matter who wins, we hope you have a royal time racing, collecting Grand Stars, and seeing if you can unlock all the in-game rewards.

How Team Rally works

In Team Rally events, the team that collects the most Team Tokens by the end of it all will come out on top.

Fellow Mushroom Kingdom drivers have picked sides—to really sweeten your Team Token tally, try to use drivers assigned to your team as often as you can.

Supporting drivers will find Team Tokens in place of select coins on the track. You can also get Team Tokens based on your score.

Spend your Team Tokens in the Token Shop to get even more fun stuff. (Don’t worry—spending your Team Tokens won’t hurt your team’s count. Depending on what you acquire, you might boost your side’s chances of victory!)

Event rewards

Regardless of the outcome, all players will receive a limited badge, coins, and rubies. Players on the top team will be rewarded with 15 rubies, 3,000 coins, and a corresponding gold badge! All other participants will get 10 rubies, 1,500 coins, and a corresponding silver badge.

Drivers, karts, and gliders

Week 1: Dry Bowser and Funky Kong are in the spotlight

Available from May 4 at 11 p.m. PT until May 18 at 10:59 p.m. PT

You can find Dry Bowser, Funky Kong, the Inferno Flyer kart, the Rambi Runner kart, the Dragon Wings glider, and the Tropical Glider are in the spotlight.

The favored courses for these drivers will include the second course of every cup for the duration of the Bowser vs. DK Tour.

Week 2: Cat Peach and Cat Toad are in the spotlight

Available from May 11 at 11 p.m. PT until May 18 at 10:59 p.m. PT

You can find Cat Peach, Cat Toad, the Cat Cruiser kart, the Head Honcho kart, the Black Toe-Bean Balloons glider, and the Calico Parafoil glider in the spotlight.

The favored courses for these drivers will include the third course of every cup for the duration of the Bowser vs. DK Tour.

Team Bowser Pipe and Team DK Pipe

Available from May 8 at 11 p.m. PT until May 18 at 10:59 p.m. PT

Low on drivers for your chosen team? Fire the pipe for your team to try to build your roster with a stable of drivers, like King Bob-Omb for Team Bowser and Toadette (Explorer) for Team DK! You can also find a selection of karts and gliders.

Tour gifts

The included Tour gifts this time are Baby Mario, Lemmy, Baby Luigi, and Wendy. If you have a Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass subscription and earn enough Grand Stars, you will also receive Bowser Jr., Diddy Kong, the Bullet Blaster kart, the Bull’s Eye Banzai kart, and the Bullet Bill Parachute glider as Tour gifts.

In the free-to-start Mario Kart Tour game, players can put the pedal to the metal in courses inspired by real-world locations as well as Mario Kart series favorites.
