Prince of the kingdom of Altea, and one of the game's two protagonists. Uses Altea's legendary blade, Falchion, to defeat Medeus in the War of Shadows. Afterward, he becomes engaged to Princess Caeda, of the kingdom of Talys, and aims to rebuild his ruined homeland. But it is not long before Emperor Hardin of Archanea orders him to venture to Grust and put an end to the rebellion there.

One of the game's two protagonists. A youth from the kingdom of Altea who undertakes the trials to become a knight. Serious and kind-hearted, if occasionally careless. Seeks to follow in the footsteps of their grandfather, a former knight of Altea, who advised them to "become the sword of Altea" and "acquire an unbreakable strength and devotion." Fights on behalf of Prince Marth and the persecuted people of their homeland.
