Prince of the Halidom of Ylisse and younger brother of Exalt Emmeryn. To protect Ylisse, he leads a group of peacekeepers called the Shepherds.
When monsters known as the Risen begin to attack, he forms an alliance with the nation of Regna Ferox to combat the threat. But when a new conflict breaks out, born of a sinister plot hatched by the neighboring kingdom of Plegia, he soon finds himself embroiled in a lethal struggle.
Chrom wears his heart on his sleeve and always thinks of his friends first. He has a disarmingly approachable demeanor, despite his noble station, but struggles when courtly language is called for. He is also terribly clumsy and has a habit of accidentally breaking things.

A descendant of Marth, the Hero-King, who lived two thousand years ago. Bears the Brand of the Exalt on his right shoulder, proof that he is the inheritor of Falchion, a treasured blade passed down through his royal line for generations.
Disaster strikes when the capital of Ylisse is invaded by the kingdom of Plegia. During this conflict, Chrom's older sister, Exalt Emmeryn, entrusts him with the Fire Emblem—a relic with the power to change the world. Chrom goes on to assume the position of acting exalt and take up the role of leading the Halidom. His destiny is to perish in battle against Validar, the leader of the Grimleal, but his daughter Lucina travels back in time to rescue him from that fate.
