When "Marth" rescues Chrom from Plegia's assault, the truth finally comes out: the masked savior is actually Chrom's daughter, who has traveled back in time from a future in which the world succumbed to despair. Her identity revealed, Lucina finally joins Chrom's forces as a permanent member.
The Brand of the Exalt in her left eye is proof of her lineage. Her Parallel Falchion is an exact match of Chrom's weapon—one that he himself passed down to her, in her time. Over the course of the story she is revealed to have a number of quirks, including a terrible fear of insects and a rather peculiar taste in fashion.
