Some games that are not compatible with Handheld Mode may be playable using separately available Joy-Con controllers and the Joy-Con Charging Grip (sold separately), such as the following titles published by Nintendo.
- The minigames "Banana, Split", "Shell Shocked Deluxe", and "Puzzle Hustle" are played using two connected Nintendo Switch consoles. Due to the different shape of the Nintendo Switch Lite the game experience will differ from that intended.
However, "Shell Shocked Deluxe" and "Puzzle Hustle" can still be played as normal using a single console, without needing to connect two. - While additional Joy-Con can be used with the included Toy-Con, the Nintendo Switch Lite console cannot be placed in the Toy-Con for Fishing Rod, Motorbike, Piano or House, so the game experience will differ from that intended.
- The Screen Stand attachment included in "Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit" cannot be used with Nintendo Switch Lite.

- As the Nintendo Switch Lite is unable to charge Joy-Con Controllers, a suitable charging product, such as the Joy-Con Charging Grip, is required.
