[Switch] When I insert the console into a Nintendo Switch dock while it is turned on, my television automatically turns on. Why does this happen?A
If the "Match TV Power State" setting on your console is turned on, inserting the console into a Nintendo Switch dock, or waking the console from Sleep Mode while inserted into the dock, will cause your television to turn on at the same time. Conversely, turning your television off will put your console into Sleep Mode.
You can change this setting via "System Settings" → "TV Settings" → "Match TV Power State" on the HOME Menu.
* The "Match TV Power State" feature is available from system version 2.0.0 onwards.
* In order to use the power matching feature, you may also need to enable the corresponding settings on your television. Please refer to your television’s user guide for instructions. (Some televisions may not support this feature.)
