Pikmin Finder Doesn't Start
Review the system requirements and try opening Pikmin Finder using Safari or Google Chrome.・Check whether you've granted Pikmin Finder access to the camera and motion sensors on your device.
Confirm your browser's camera and motion-sensor permission settings are not blocking access.
Pikmin Finder requires a handheld device and cannot be played from a PC.
Motion-Sensor Access Denied on Safari
If you want to grant permission for Safari to access your device's motion sensors after denying permission, you'll need to clear the Pikmin Finder website data stored in Safari, and then try accessing Pikmin Finder again. How to allow access:
From your device's settings, select Safari.
Under Advanced, select Website Data.
Go to Search, enter "8thwall," and delete results labeled "8thwall.app."
Scan the code for Pikmin Finder again and grant access to your device's motion sensors.
Note: If you are using Google Chrome on iOS, you can use Pikmin Finder by selecting Chrome within your device settings and then enabling Allow Cross-Website Tracking.
Pikmin Finder Treasures Disappearing
Confirm cookies for Pikmin Finder are allowed to be stored within your browser.
If you scan the code with a scanner app or social-media app, you may be linked to Pikmin Finder from within those apps rather than your browser itself, which may result in your collected treasures being lost.
Make sure that you aren't using private browsing or an incognito browser window.
If you clear your browser's history and website data, your collected treasures will be lost.
