Come see the many looks of Princess Zelda throughout the years!

The people of Hyrule have been through a lot over the centuries—especially when you add the destructive ambition of villains like Ganondorf and Demise into the mix. But luckily the forces of evil are kept at bay by two timeless heroes: Link and Zelda.

While the pointy-eared swordsman often gets the spotlight, today it’s time to celebrate Princess Zelda—a champion of good who is noble, strong, and above all, wise. The princess cares deeply for Hyrule and carries with her The Triforce of Wisdom. It’s even said that Zelda has ties to the goddess Hylia herself!

Zelda will be putting her talents to the test in the Legend of Zelda™: Echoes of Wisdom game on Sept. 26. But before she takes centerstage in that epic adventure, let’s look back at some of her many appearances through the years. My, how things have changed!

Releases Sept. 26! The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts—and with a certain swordsman among the missing, it’s up to Princess Zelda to save her kingdom. Use the Tri Rod to create “echoes,” which are imitations of things you find in the environment—then recreate those echoes to help solve puzzles and defeat enemies.

In this sequel to the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game, you’ll decide your own path through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands floating in the vast skies above. Zelda is separated from Link early on in this adventure, and her story takes on surprising twists (to say the least).

Travel across vast fields, forests, and mountain peaks as you discover what has become of Hyrule. Along the way, you'll battle towering enemies, hunt wild beasts, and gather ingredients for food and elixirs. Princess Zelda is the heir to a power that imprisons darkness and an avid researcher of ancient technology.

Go on a high-flying adventure in the earliest story of the Legend of Zelda series. Uncover hidden areas, solve puzzles, and defeat enemies as you discover the origin of Link, Zelda, and the Master Sword. Just who is that mysterious figure accompanying Zelda, and how does the goddess Hylia fit into all this? Hmm…

Enjoy the gameplay of Crypt of the NecroDancer in the setting of The Legend of Zelda series. Master the instinctive movements of each pixel-art enemy, and strategically outstep them in rhythmic combat. Zelda can definitely carry a beat—she’s fully playable in this game.

Witness the events that occurred a century before the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game. Recruit mighty champions to defend Hyrule against an impending attack from Calamity Ganon. While playing as Zelda, you can trigger placed Sheikah runes.

Command legendary heroes and villains in battle to achieve objectives as you unleash special attacks. Advance the story to unlock characters, each with their own moves and weapon types, in order to help save Hyrule. In this game, Zelda wields a Rapier and her trusty Bow. She can also use a Baton for attacks that are a bit more musical.

Legendary game worlds and fighters collide in the ultimate showdown. Choose from a variety of characters from the Legend of Zelda franchise, including Princess Zelda, Sheik, Link, Young Link, Toon Link, and Ganondorf.
