NintendoVS Holiday Tournament - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Open December 2024

Rev up for some intense holiday-season competition! The races begin on Dec 27 and run through Dec 29, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. PT on each day—with 2,500 My Nintendo™ Gold Points up for grabs for the top eight players each day!

How to enter

To access a Tournament, select the following, in order, within the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game: Online Play > Tournaments > Search by Code. Enter one of the following codes to enter the in-game tournament for that day.

This tournament will use the following settings:

• Mode: 150cc Race

• Teams: No Teams

• Items: Normal Items

• Frequency: Fixed Period

• Race Count: 24 Races

• Group Shuffling: Every 4th Match

• Player Rating: Any Rating

• Public/Private: Code Required

Prizes

The top eight racers on each day will get 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points.

NintendoVS Holiday Tournament – NintendoVS Challenge Cup December 2024

Smash your opponents off the stage and into the new year in this 1v1 tournament! The Grand Prize for topping the ladder is 10,000 My Nintendo Gold Points.

• Event period: From Dec. 28 from 3 p.m. PT to 6 p.m. PT

How to enter

You must participate in the in-game Tournament in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to be held between 3 p.m. PT and 6 p.m. PT on Dec. 28. To access the Tournament, select the following, in order, within the game: Online > Smash > Official Tourney Qualifiers. A message will pop up to review the Tournament rules. Select “Yes” to agree.

Grab your team and gear up for a holiday Turf War! Team registration opens at 9 a.m. PT on Dec. 9 and runs all the way up to the start of the tournament itself at 10 a.m. on Dec. 29. A Grand Prize of 10,000 My Nintendo Gold Points is up for grabs to each member of the elite squad that inks the most turf!

Tournament structure

This tournament will use the following settings:

• Format: Best-of-3, Ladder

• Mode: Turf War

• Stage: Stages will be set to random

• Weapons/Gear: Anything a player has unlocked may be used, except that Splatfest Tees are not allowed to be worn. Any player wearing a Splatfest Tee may result in an automatic loss for their Team in Sponsor’s discretion.

• Recon: OFF

• More Settings: The host must press X Button for more settings, and then set the following settings:

• Primary Gear Abilities Only: OFF

Prizes

Each member of the highest-placing team will get a Grand Prize of 10,000 My Nintendo Gold Points. Each member of the First Prize winning team will receive 7,500 points, and each member of both Second Prize winning teams will receive 5,000 points.
