“Pirates of the Caribbean” Docks into Fortnite BR

Blimey! Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” has raised the cursed sails and docked into Fortnite as part of the Battle Royale v30.20 July 19 hotfix (“Cursed Sails”). Cast off with the ghostly Ship in a Bottle, explore Shipwreck Shallows, and hunt for buried treasure. Cursed Sails runs until August 6 at 1 a.m. PT!

Ship-“Wrecked”

Cursed Sails will have you aboard different kinds of vessels than what you’re used to in Wrecked. Use them in your adventure for buried treasure!

Ship in a Bottle

Unleash the spectral fury of the seven seas! Among other places, you can find a Ship in a Bottle inside Chests scattered in Shipwreck Shallows’ pirate ship. Crack it open to bring forth a cursed ship from the ghostly depths that can dive into opponents with a devastating crash. You can also take aim at landlubbers from the crow’s nest! After a short distance, the ship will dissipate.

Unvaulted: Pirate Cannon

Chart a course for the skies! Jump into one of the Pirate Cannons located around Shipwreck Shallows to launch yourself avast distance. Or roll it to a prime destination to launch a teammate into uncharted territory.

Unvaulted: Buried Treasure\[

Buried Treasure awaits on the Island! Hunt for treasure like the Flint-Knock Pistol and other loot using one of the Buried Treasure Maps in Chests and on the ground across the BR Island. X marks the spot, matey.

(Yes, the Flint-Knock is unvaulted too! You can also find this Pistol on the ground and from normal Chests.)

Of Bounty and Doubloons

If you’re setting sail on your cursed ship and in pursuit of pirate plunder, then we’ve got some good news for ya: yer not just sailin' across the BR Island, ye'll be conquerin' Cursed Sails Quests too!

Completing Cursed Sails Quests will line your pockets with Cursed Gold. The more Cursed Gold you have, the more goods you’ll unlock from the Cursed Sails Pass! Keep track of your gold stash (and remaining Pass rewards) by heading to the Cursed Sails tab in the Lobby.

Codes of the Pirate Brethren

It’s time for the ultimate pirate treasure hunt! The Cursed Sails Quests are divided into pieces of eight known as “Pirate Codes,” each going live sequentially and available ‘til August 6 at 1 a.m. PT. By completing four Quests in each Code, you’ll unlock a Map Piece…
