Donkey Kong’s banana hoard has been snatched! Now, it’s up to DK and Diddy Kong to take them back. The Donkey Kong Country™ Returns HD game swings onto the Nintendo Switch™ system on January 16, but you can get a sneak peek at who’s taking top peeling…er…billing in this barrel-blasting adventure.

This cast is bananas!

Donkey Kong – Large and in charge, DK is always ready to take on enemies and crash through boxes—in style! (Peep the tie.)

Diddy Kong - He might look harmless to jungle baddies, but this small Kong is a peanut-popping powerhouse!

Cranky Kong - Stooped in stature but sizeable in spirit, his shop supplies helpful items to rid the jungle of banana-nabbing baddies.

Rambi – When things get wild, this rhino pal is ready to help power through rough stone blocks (and maybe the occasional enemy).

Squawks – This brightly-colored feathered friend is ready to let you know when puzzle pieces are nearby.

Professor Chops – A stout snout is ready to offer you some helpful tips through each level.

Tiki Tak Tribe – These malevolent maestros can play a mean tune…that hypnotizes animals to do their bidding. Not cool, daddios.

About the game

The villainous Tiki Tak Tribe has hypnotized the local wildlife into nabbing Donkey Kong’s precious banana hoard. Join the duo in this visually enhanced version of the Wii™ game, complete with the additional levels from the Nintendo 3DS™ version. Barrel through the jungles of Donkey Kong Island to take back their snacks and face whatever challenges come flying their way.
