Show some flair in the air with these dragon mounts!

When you see a dragon, what are your first thoughts (after, “I hope that thing isn’t hungry”)? You might wonder about their size, their body texture, or whether they can breathe fire. Maybe you’re like us and wonder—if they can fly, does that mean we can ride them?!

Not to drag-on about these mythical creatures, but there’s one thing we can confirm: Dragons are pretty clawsome. So, with the start of a new Lunar New Year*, we thought we’d ring in the Year of the Dragon with games where you can see different takes on dragons and (perhaps more importantly) ride them!

An ancient evil lurks beneath Hyrule Castle. Harness Link’s abilities to fight back against the dark forces that threaten the kingdom as you explore, create, and discover. Throughout your journey, remember to look to the skies. You may see mysterious floating islands or even beautiful, scaled dragons. Wait, is that an updraft?

As the grandson of a legendary Rider, you’ve been entrusted with an egg that could hatch into a legendary Rathalos. Become a Rider and form bonds with friendly monsters known as Monsties. Hatch, raise, and live side by side with monsters in this turn-based RPG set in the Monster Hunter universe.

On a remote, lone planet, you encounter two dragons awakened from ancient times. Armed with a deadly weapon from the past and the guidance of your armored blue dragon, ride your dragon into battle and fulfill your destiny to keep the Prototype Dragon from reaching the Tower.

Follow twins Ren and Rin as they try to manage their small family café, raise a baby dragon, and find a way to save their ill mother. While it’s not easy to raise the rambunctious Draco, he can grow strong and helpful, retrieving items, hunting, and eventually allowing you to ride him as the flies around!

You are the Luminary, the hunted hero who will protect the land from destruction. With a ragtag band of adventurers, you’ll engage in turn-based battles and embark on quests across the kingdom of Erdrea. Attack with monsters on the field to earn experience points, then take ‘em for a ride! May we suggest Dragon Riders?

After a thousand years of being sealed away, the Fell Dragon is about to reawaken. As the Divine Dragon, collect the 12 Emblem Rings to call on legendary heroes from other worlds to help face your destiny. While exploring Somniel to prepare for the upcoming battle, you may even want to fit in some Wyvern Riding.

Dragons have returned and the future of Skyrim hangs in the balance. As Dragonborn, you are the only one who can stand amongst them. This version of the game contains the core game, plus three official add-ons featuring more quests, characters, armor, weapons, and even the ability to tame and ride dragons.

*Did you know that Lunar New Year marks the first month of the lunar calendar? In several countries, each year is associated with an animal. This year happens to be the Year of the Dragon!
