Based on the hit Japanese manga and animation series, which centres on the antics of goofy brawler Monkey D. Luffy and his ragtag band of Straw Hat Pirates, One Piece Gigant Battle brings over-the-top 2D fighting to the palm of your hand.

Join Monkey and a huge cast of colourful characters as they head to Last Resort to take part in The Pirate Grand Prix – a massive tournament designed to determine the ultimate brawler and a magnet for flamboyant fighters from across the One Piece world. With 20 characters to choose from and a supporting cast that includes scores of fan favourites from the mind of series creator Eiichirō Oda, the humour and over-the-top action of the One Piece universe is painstakingly replicated.

When the fighting gets underway, anyone can jump right in thanks to simple controls that blend traditional button commands with a mixture of Touch Screen taps. Use items, special attacks and counters as you fight as part of a chosen crew which will include your lead character and support characters who can be called on to boost your attack. As you battle through the game’s Pirate Grand Prix mode, you’ll earn experience points that you can attribute to your chosen fighter – strategically building their strengths before the next round of the tournament. You’ll also earn currency as you progress, which can in turn be spent in an in-game shop to buy more powerful attacks.

With so much to do, it’s only natural that the experience of One Piece Gigant Battle can also be shared. Up to four players can get in on the brawl, fighting in rip-roaring 2 vs. 2 match-ups in game modes tailored for both Multi-Card Play and DS Download Play (if only one of the four fighters has a copy of the game).
