Here are some recommendations on how to place Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo to get the most out of your experience:
- Direction: Turn the screen so it’s facing the middle of your bed.
- Distance: Place it where you can comfortably reach it from your bed (0 to 50cm).
- Height: Place it 0 to 20cm above your bed.
Even if you follow the above recommendations, the motion sensor may have trouble detecting you in these situations:
- If there’s something else within range of the motion sensor that moves (e.g. the hands of a clock, an electric fan, or a pet), Alarmo may confuse its movements with yours, leading the alarm to continue sounding even after you’ve got out of bed.
- Alarmo can’t detect a specific person, so if two or more people are sleeping in the same bed within range of the sensor, the alarm may stop when one person gets out of bed, but restart once it detects there is still someone in bed. The alarm will stop completely once everyone is out of bed.
In the above situations, you can switch to Button Mode, which doesn’t use the motion sensor and instead lets you operate Alarmo with button controls, just like a regular alarm clock.
