What is a child account?
A child account is a Nintendo Account that can be created by parents (or guardians) for their children under the age of 18, without the need to use a dedicated email address or social media account. To create an account for a child, a parent or guardian must have a Nintendo Account of their own.
Having a Nintendo Account allows the user to access various services through My Nintendo, receive various discount offers, purchase download versions of software from the official Nintendo website where available, and enjoy other benefits.
