Error Message: "The Nintendo Network Agreement Agreement and Privacy Policy have been updated".
Situation:
- You are unable to sign in with your Nintendo Network ID when purchasing Nintendo eShop software on the official Nintendo website.
- You receive an error message stating that the Nintendo Network Agreement and Privacy Policy have been updated.
Note:
Prior to using Nintendo Network ID services you must agree to the Nintendo Network Agreement and Privacy Policy using a Wii U console or Nintendo 3DS family system that is linked to your Nintendo Network ID. Users are unable to agree to the Nintendo Network Agreement and Privacy Policy on a non-Nintendo device such as a PC or smartphone.
What to Do:
Use the following steps to locate the Nintendo Network Agreement and Privacy Policy:
On a linked Wii U console:
- On the user selection screen, select the user that is linked to your Nintendo Network ID.
- If prompted, use the on-screen keyboard to enter the password for that user's ID.
- You will then be prompted with the Nintendo Network Agreement and Privacy Policy.
On a linked system in the Nintendo 3DS family:
- From the HOME Menu, select System Settings, and tap Nintendo Network ID Settings.
- If the sign-in screen displays, tap Sign In and enter the password for that user's ID.
- You will then be prompted with the Nintendo Network Agreement and Privacy Policy.
