Holding Joy-Con
The grip styles and number of Joy-Con controllers you use will differ depending on which game you're playing.
This page introduces some frequently used grip styles.
Dual-controller grip
Two Joy-Con controllers, each held vertically. This grip allows full button usage and independent movement of each controller.

Solo vertical grip
One Joy-Con, held vertically in one hand. This grip allows single-handed operation via buttons and controller movement, etc.

Solo horizontal grip
A single Joy-Con, held horizontally with both hands. This grip allows tilt controls to be used.
