Play Modes and Connecting
Nintendo Switch has 3 play modes.
*Some play modes are not supported by certain console/game combinations.

Handheld Mode |
Games that support Handheld Mode can be played on Nintendo Switch Lite console.
However, some elements or play styles of certain Handheld Mode-compatible games may not be available.
TV Mode
Play games on the big screen, either on your own, or together with family and friends.
TV Mode-compatible games () are supported.
*Games displaying a () or () icon do not support TV Mode.
*Nintendo Switch Lite does not support TV Mode.

*With Nintendo Switch OLED Model [HEG-001] consoles, please be aware that the position of the HDMI port on the included Nintendo Switch dock is different than that depicted in the video explanation.
Tabletop Mode
Tabletop Mode lets you use the console as a standalone screen when you don't have a television to hand. You can even share one of your Joy-Con controllers with a friend to play together.
Tabletop Mode-compatible games () are supported.
*Games displaying a () or () icon do not support Tabletop Mode.
Handheld Mode
With Handheld Mode, you can play games wherever you like. Even if there's no space to set the console down, like when you're on a train, you never have to stop the fun.
Handheld Mode-compatible games () are supported.
*Games displaying a () or () icon do not support Handheld Mode.
For Nintendo Switch [HEG-001]/[HAC-001]
Attach the left and right Joy-Con Controllers to the console.
For Nintendo Switch Lite [HDH-001]
You don't need to do anything special to play in Handheld Mode.
