Internet connection (With a Wired Connection)
The setup procedure for a wired Internet connection is different depending on the console you're using.
When using Nintendo Switch – OLED Model [HEG-001]
Before you begin
Put your Nintendo Switch in TV Mode.
Setting up the connection

Use a LAN cable to link the LAN port on your Nintendo Switch dock [HEG-007] with your router.
*With Nintendo Switch dock [HEG-007] included with Nintendo Switch – OLED Model [HEG-001], as it has a built-in wired LAN port, a "Wired LAN Adapter" (sold separately) is unnecessary.
*When using Nintendo Switch dock [HAC-007] included with Nintendo Switch [HAC-001], a "Wired LAN Adapter" (sold separately) is necessary. When using Nintendo Switch console [HAC-001], please see here.

From this point, you should look at your TV screen while carrying out the remaining instructions.
Press the HOME Button on your controller to display the HOME Menu, then select "System Settings". -

Select "Internet" → "Internet Settings".

Select "Wired Connection" under "Registered Networks".

Select "Connect to the Internet via Wired Connection". When "Connected" appears, the process is complete.
Using a wired connection in Tabletop Mode
You will need a USB hub (sold separately). For details, please direct inquiries to one of the many USB hub manufacturers.
When setting up a wired connection, we recommend you also carry out the wireless setup.
With a wired connection, if you remove your console from your Nintendo Switch dock, the Internet connection will be lost. You're therefore advised to set up wireless Internet as well, so your console can switch over to a wireless connection when removed from the dock.
When using Nintendo Switch [HAC-001]
Before you begin
Put your Nintendo Switch in TV Mode.

Connect a wired LAN adapter (sold separately) to a USB port on your Nintendo Switch dock [HAC-007], and use a LAN cable to link the wired LAN adapter with your router.
*When using Nintendo Switch dock [HEG-007] included with Nintendo Switch – OLED Model [HEG-001], as it has a built-in wired LAN port, a "Wired LAN Adapter" is unnecessary.

Connect the USB hub to your Nintendo Switch Lite system.

Connect a wired LAN adapter (sold separately) to a port on the USB hub, then use a LAN cable to connect the wired LAN adapter to your router.

From this point, you should carry out the remaining instructions on your Nintendo Switch Lite.
Press the HOME Button to display the HOME Menu, then select "System Settings". -

Select "Internet" → "Internet Settings".

Select "Wired Connection" under "Registered Networks".

Select "Connect to the Internet via Wired Connection". When "Connected" appears, the process is complete.

With a wired connection, if you disconnect your console from your USB hub, the Internet connection will be lost. You're therefore advised to set up wireless Internet as well, so your console can switch over to a wireless connection whenever the hub is disconnected.
