Those irreverent and irrepressible Rabbids are all set to hit the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi in a puzzle-adventure game that will have you scratching your head at the same time as you’re splitting your sides laughing. Sharing a story with the Wii version, but featuring totally different gameplay, Rabbids Go Home sees the chaotic creatures deciding that they’ve had enough fun here on Earth and that they need to get back to what they’ve collectively decided must be their home – the moon!
Rabbid logic dictates that there is only one foolproof way of making the journey – building an enormous pile of pilfered possessions and borrowed bits and bobs and clambering up it. It sounds like it can’t fail, but there is one minor obstacle standing in the Rabbids' way - mankind. Being rather attached to their stuff, human beings can become hostile when it’s stolen by a speeding rodent in a runaway shopping trolley. That’s why they’ve formed a crack squad of Rabbid-hunting bravadoes, known as the Verminators.
Your job is to run the gauntlet of the irate human-folk, collect as much stuff as you can and watch that pile grow ever closer to the moon. This will entail negotiating 15 levels and solving 150 brain-teasing puzzles, all set in locales as exotic as Las Vegas, Miami and an enormous rubbish dump. You’ll need to think like a Rabbid as you devise chain reactions to achieve your goal of getting your paws on all that lovely stuff. It’s not all cerebral stuff though – these are Rabbids after all - and you’ll also need speedy stylus skills and Rabbid reactions to keep up with the action.
In addition to the main story, there are heaps of extra levels on offer in the Challenge Mode, where you’ll be set specific goals to achieve. You’ll also be able to design your own levels using the level editor and share them with players from around the world, meaning you’ll never be short of stiff new challenges. If you’re having trouble cracking a puzzle, you can even get help from a friend with co-op play via local wireless and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
