    How to Update 51 Worldwide Games

    In this article, you'll learn how to update 51 Worldwide Games.

    Note

    • This update must be applied in order to use the game’s online features.
    • A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use the game's online features.
    • All players must be using the same version of the software to play together.
    • In order to download the update data, adequate free space is required either in the system memory or on a microSD card.
    • Save data will still be available for use after downloading the update.
    • If the console is connected to the internet, the update will download and install automatically.

    On 25 November 2020 a new software update for 51 Worldwide Games became available for download. Please take a moment to download and install this update while your Nintendo Switch console is connected to the internet.

    Complete these steps

    1. Connect the Nintendo Switch console to the internet.
    2. Return to the HOME Menu and launch the game.
    3. The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
    4. Once the update is installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.

    Online

    • Fixed an issue that caused an error to occur when the software couldn’t correctly confirm each player’s update data version, depending on the communication status.

    General

    • In ludo, when there are no pieces on the board that can be moved, you can now only re-roll the dice the number of times that the Starting Threshold was set to.
    • Raised the maximum Play Count for each game from 99 to 999.
    • Improved the stability of synchronous communication when playing online.
    • In Riichi mahjong, fixed an issue that caused 1,000 points from the scoring stick to vanish when Ron was called at the same time as Riichi.
    • In Riichi mahjong, fixed an issue that allowed players to win by picking up a tile while in furiten.
    • In Riichi mahjong, fixed an issue that caused players to make a “Closed Kan”, which changed the tiles needed to win after calling Riichi.
    • In Renegade, fixed an issue where the CPU wouldn’t move, preventing the game from progressing.
    • In Texas Hold’em, fixed an issue with the process for determining priority when multiple players have the same hand.
    • In the Game Globe, fixed an issue that caused some information in the Personal Best section to be displayed incorrectly.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the game from progressing when certain steps were performed in Last Card, fishing, Riichi mahjong, Chinese checkers, billiards (9-Ball), checkers, chess, shogi, mini shogi, backgammon, and slot cars.
    • Fixed several other issues to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

    Ver. 1.1.1 (Released 5 June 2020)

    General updates

    • Fixed an issue that occurred when playing Riichi Mahjong in either Local or Online Play. This issue caused the software to close if one player selected “Pon” and another player selected “Chi”, depending on which was selected first.
    • Fixed an issue that occurred when playing Riichi Mahjong in Play with Anyone. If a player completed a Double Twin Runs hand, this issue caused the Sevens Pairs hand to be prioritized instead.
    • Fixed an issue that occurred when playing Shogi or Mini Shogi in Play with Anyone. After selecting “No” in response to the “Promote?” prompt, this issue prevented the game from progressing if the next player didn’t take any action within a given amount of time.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the game from progressing if certain steps were performed in the “Learn a Game!” module for Shogi.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the game from progressing if certain steps were performed when playing Riichi Mahjong or Nine Men’s Morris in Play with Anyone.
    • Fixed several other issues to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

    Ver. 1.1.0 (Released 5 June 2020)

    Online

    • By connecting to the internet, you now have two options: Play with Friends or Play with Anyone.
    • You can now use the voice chat feature in the Nintendo Switch Online voice app in Play with Friends.
    • Other players’ figures from around the world will be displayed on the Guide Globe, and you can view things like their recommended games and recent records.

    • Fixed a bug that caused the order of play and the game board to be switched when resuming a game of Chess or Shogi that was started in single-player mode with the setting "First Move: Random".
    • Fixed a bug that caused the game to freeze when resuming a game of Darts that was started in single-player mode with the setting "First Move: Random".
    • Fixed several other issues to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.
