    How to Update Fire Emblem Engage

    In this article, you'll learn how to update Fire Emblem Engage.

    Note

    • This update must be applied in order to use the game’s online features.
    • A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use the game's online features.
    • Save data will still be available for use after downloading the update.
    • The update will download and install automatically if the console is connected to the internet and the Automatic Software Updates setting is enabled. If there is not enough space in the system memory or on a microSD card to download the update, you will first need to expand or free up memory space and then follow the steps below.

    On 5 April 2023, a new software update for Fire Emblem Engage became available for download. Please take a moment to download and install this update while your Nintendo Switch console is connected to the internet.

    Complete these steps

    1. Connect the Nintendo Switch console to the internet.
    2. From the HOME Menu, highlight the icon for the software you wish to update without actually starting the software.
    3. Press the + Button or - Button, then select Software Update, followed by Via the Internet.
    4. Once the update is installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.

    Ver. 2.0.0 (Released 5 April 2023)

    General Updates

    • Compatible with Wave 4 of the Expansion Pass.
    • Update Bonus has been added. You can receive items when entering the Somniel from Chapter 5 or later.
    • Collaboration content with the smart device app Fire Emblem Heroes can now be downloaded for free from Nintendo eShop.
      • You can receive items when entering the Somniel after downloading the data from Nintendo eShop.
      • Note that players who have already downloaded the bonuses from linking with Fire Emblem Heroes cannot download the content again.
    • Issues have been fixed to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

    Ver. 1.3.0 (Released 8 March 2023)

    General Updates

    • Compatible with Pack 3 of the Expansion Pass.
    • From Chapter 7 onwards, you’ll be able to exchange items at the ancient well on the Somniel.
      • You’ll need to talk to the proprietor of the armory.
    • You can now use Inherit Skills in the Arena.
    • Issues have been fixed to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

    General Updates

    • Compatible with Pack 2 of the Expansion Pass.
    • From chapter 8 onwards, you’ll be able to use the “Recreation” feature at the pool, orchard and stable on the Somniel.
    • Fixed an issue in Relay Trials where “No data to take over.” would be displayed even if you selected “Random” from the “Take Over” section.
    • Issues have been fixed to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.
