How to Remove Incorrect Language Packs and Other Downloaded DLC
In this article, you'll learn how to delete DLC, such as language packs, and redownload a game without also redownloading the DLC from Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.
Information:
If you have downloaded DLC (downloadable content) for a game and you attempt to redownload the game, you will also redownload all of your DLC by default. Follow the steps below to redownload the game without any DLC.
Complete These Steps:
- Make sure your Nintendo Switch console has the most recent system version.
- Highlight the game for which you want to remove DLC on the HOME Menu and press the + Button.
- Select Data Management, then Delete Software.
- This will not delete any save data.
- Select Delete to continue.
- Open Nintendo eShop using a user linked to the Nintendo Account that originally downloaded the game.
- Select your user icon in the top-right corner to access your Account Information.
- Select Redownload and locate the game from your list of previously downloaded titles.
- While holding the L Button, select the redownload (cloud) icon.
- If you do not hold down the L Button while selecting the redownload icon, you will redownload the game and all of your previously downloaded DLC.
- Select OK when a message appears that only the software will be redownloaded. The download will begin.
