Possible solutions

• Make sure your Nintendo Account is set to the correct country/region.
• Update your console to the latest system version.
• Restart your console and try again.
• If the error occurs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons after restoring your island backup data, make sure you are using the Nintendo Switch console that you restored the data on.
  • If a resident has also moved to a new island on a different Nintendo Switch console, make sure that resident's player is using the Nintendo Switch console that they moved to.
