In sessions where he plays harp and Link plays the Ocarina of Time, Link learns melodies with various effects. The mysterious boy Sheik is actually Princess Zelda, disguised in order to hide in plain sight from Ganondorf.
A map merchant who floats in the air using red balloons, drawing and selling maps. He is 35 years old and has not found his own fairy. He believes that he is a reincarnated fairy and wears green tights. He has a unique way of speaking and laughing, and his catchphrase is "Tingle, Tingle! Kooloo-Limpah!"
A Skull Kid is what kids who wander into the forest turn into. This lonely but mischievous being is sometimes referred to as an imp. He wears the eerie Majora's Mask and once stole the Ocarina of Time from Link. Chasing after the Skull Kid, Link arrives in the parallel world of Termina, destined to be destroyed in three days.
The King of Hyrule is the highest authority in the kingdom. The king of Hyrule in each title is often a different individual with different experiences and memories. He always wishes for peace and prosperity for his kingdom, which often suffers from the invasion of demons and the resurrection of Ganon. Although the wise king possesses divine power, he is not as powerful as the hero Link and his daughter Princess Zelda. Therefore, he often acts as a guiding hand and entrusts them with the fate of Hyrule.
A young female Rito who lives on Dragon Roost Island. She is the attendant to the great sky spirit, Valoo, and she understands the ancient Hylian language spoken by Valoo. Although she is a winged Rito, she is better at playing the harp than flying. She is a positive girl who does her best in everything, and she often tries to cheer up Komali, the son of the Rito Chieftain.
A pirate captain who seems bossy but has a kind and caring personality. Tetra first meets Link when she is about to be kidnapped by a giant monster bird. Link's sister, Aryll, gets kidnapped instead of Tetra, so Tetra goes on an adventure with Link to help him save his sister. Using her mysterious stone charm, she can see what Link is doing from afar. Her true identity becomes revealed in the latter half of the story.
An evil sorcerer who worked secretly in search of the Light Force. Although he was originally one of the Minish, tiny people the size of a thumb, he used his master's wish-granting cap to become a sorcerer. He eventually seizes most of the power of the Light Force and transforms into a raging demon.
King of the Twilight Realm, the antithesis of the brightly sunlit Hyrule. Initially serving the royal family, he put his name forward as the next ruler but was not chosen. However, he is given the power of darkness by the soul of Ganondorf, who had been banished to the Twilight Realm, and raises a rebellion to become the king. He places a curse on Princess Midna and begins to invade the world of light.
The princess of the Twilight Realm, the antithesis of the brightly sunlit Hyrule. She is one of the Twili, the wielders of powerful magic, and has particularly strong magical powers among her people. Although she is the next ruler of the Twili, Zant overthrows her from the throne and places a curse on her. She transforms into an imp-like creature and flees to the Light World. There, Midna meets Link, who has transformed into a wolf. Midna tries to use Link to save the Twilight Realm at first, but she is touched by the kindness of Link and Princess Zelda and works to save not only her world but also the Light World.
A demonic being who descended to the earth to revive Demise, the root of all evil. He calls himself the Demon Lord. He relentlessly pursues Zelda, the Spirit Maiden, to capture her and perform the resurrection ritual. He uses demon summoning, teleportation, and various sword skills and magic to fight Link on numerous occasions.

A sword spirit created by the goddess Hylia. Though she appears young, she has knowledge of all things. She waited for Link, a young man with a strong spirit chosen by the goddess, and explained that he is fated to have a hand in a great destiny. She guides Link, calling him "Master," and tries to fulfill her mission faithfully. While she has a propensity for providing statistical percentages, and her voice seems robotic and lacks any intonation, she gradually starts to comprehend emotions as she travels with Link.
Impa is a female member of the Sheikah, a mysterious tribe that guards the royal family of Hyrule. She is responsible for passing on the ancient lore of Hyrule to future generations in many eras. Like Link and Princess Zelda, each Impa in the series is a different individual, and her role varies from being Zelda's nanny to the chief of Kakariko Village. When Hyrule is in crisis, she guides Link with her wealth of knowledge and helps Zelda. The first Impa was born in ancient times as the protector of the reincarnated goddess Hylia.

The sorcerer of Lorule, an alternate world of Hyrule. He is an artist with the power to turn people and monsters into paintings. Under the orders of Hilda, the princess of Lorule, he transforms the Seven Sages of Hyrule into paintings, one after another.
A very suspicious traveling merchant who wears a bunny hood. He values rupees more than lives. He takes the liberty of remodeling Link's house and opens an item rental shop with his partner Sheerow.
One of the Champions selected from the Gerudo to stand against Calamity Ganon. She is an older-sister type who is considerate to those around her, and Princess Zelda has great trust in her. She has a special ability to strike lightning, and her movements in combat are said to resemble a beautiful dance.
One of the Champions chosen to pilot the Divine Beast to stand against Calamity Ganon. He developed a unique ability to generate updrafts to propel himself into the sky and possesses exceptional flying skills among the Rito. He also has the strength and agility to handle a heavy bow easily.

One of the Champions selected from the Gorons to stand against Calamity Ganon. Though he may appear gruff, he is considerate, attentive, and tremendously kind. With his special ability, he can create a force field around himself to defend against all manner of attacks and crush even falling rocks many times his body size.
One of the Champions and the princess of the Zora, who also happens to be a childhood friend of Link. She is kind and soft-spoken, but deep down she is also incredibly strong. Mipha throws herself into the battle against Calamity Ganon to protect the world. Her special ability to heal others' wounds has greatly supported the Zoras.
A spirit asleep inside the egg atop Mt. Tamaranch who rules Koholint Island. There is a saying that once you enter the island, you cannot leave as long as the Fish of the Wind sleeps. Link travels the island to find the Instruments of the Sirens, which have the power to awaken the spirit.
A kindhearted girl who saved Link when he drifted ashore on Koholint Island. She loves to sing, and her favorite song is the Ballad of the Wind Fish. She has lived on the island since birth and has been told by the island inhabitants that there is nothing beyond the vast ocean. However, seeing the drifting coconuts and Link washed ashore, she firmly believes something lies beyond the sea.

her youthful nature is apparent in her affections toward her pet
sand seal and the plushie decor in her room.

who inherited Daruk's power.
Yunobo is kindhearted,
always doing what he can for others.
He once fought alongside Link to save Goron City.
After saving the city, he formed YunoboCo,
and many of his friends joined in to help support
his new endeavor.
YunoboCo aims to create a thriving economy
for Goron City through mining.
However, ever since the Upheaveal,
there's something strange about Yunobo...
Son of Teba, the chief of the Rito village.
Tulin was a child when Link previously visited his village
but has grown over the past few years.
He now has the ability to generate strong winds.
Initially, Tulin attempted to remedy
the inclement weather plaguing his village all on his own.
But now, fighting alongside Link,
he learns the value of working together.
Older brother to the Champion Mipha,
Sidon is the charming Zora prince who has a strong sense of justice.
He once fought alongside Link to save Zora's Domain. Following this,
he carved his learnings from those events into stone.
He also set in stone a vow to serve his people as heir to the throne.
Now, Sidon uses his ability to control water
to fight alongside Link once more.
Together they resolve to undo the disastrous effects
the Upheaval has caused for his domain.
An ethereal being with the unusual ability to
create duplicates of things in this world.
This creature is assisting Princess Zelda on her adventure.
