In the latest session of 'Iwata Asks' Nintendo President Satoru Iwata sits down with legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto to discuss the development of Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii.
The eagerly awaited sequel to Super Mario Galaxy presented the development team with some unique challenges. During the interview Miyamoto-san explains the ways the development team strived to make Mario's 3D platform game more accessible to fans of 2D Mario games who might fear to go on an adventure in a 3D world. At the same time they took great care to create a game that would be fun and challenging for fans of the first game.
