    Event Details and Privacy Policy

The “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Online Challenge: Winter Clash 2024” is an online competition (“Event”) held within the Nintendo Switch software title Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (“Game”), and is operated by Nintendo of Europe SE, Goldsteinstrasse 235, 60528 Frankfurt am Main, Germany (“Nintendo”, “we” or “us”).

    Event period and locations

The Event takes place on Friday, December 6th, from 18:00 to 20:00 (CET) / 17:00 to 19:00 (UK time) and is available to residents of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom (“Participating Countries”). In order to ensure a good game play experience for all players, players from regions of great geographical distance to central Europe (such as the Azores and the Svalbard archipelago) may not be able to participate in the event.

    Participation

To participate in the competition, players need to have a Nintendo Account with a country/region setting for one of the countries the event is available in. The Nintendo Account must have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. No distinction is made between types of membership, whether any type of paid membership or a free trial. In order to participate, a player needs to have access to the Game on Nintendo Switch, and must use their Nintendo Account to finish at least one event tourney match within the Game. The event tourney can be accessed from the main menu within the game by selecting “Online”, followed by “Official Tourney Qualifiers”.

    Tourney Score

Tourney score is a rating only available for exclusive events in the game. Participants try to achieve the highest Tourney score. The Tourney score is a rating of the individual player’s skill, based on their match results factoring in the relative Tourney score of the opponents in a match. Players can confirm their individual Tourney score within the Game at any time during the event.

Participants can play an unlimited number of matches during the event in order to improve their Tourney score. Matches which start during the event period will count towards the Tourney score even if they finish only after the event ended.

    Winners and prizes

The 10 participants with the best individual Tourney score each receive a prize of 2,500 (two thousand five hundred) My Nintendo Gold Points. The remainder of the top 100 participants with the best individual score receive 1,000 (one thousand) My Nintendo Gold Points each.

If a participant changes their country setting to a country not included in the Participating Countries at any time between participation to send-out of the prizes they will be disqualified.

Participants who cheat, manipulate, or exploit bugs in any way in relation to their participation, or show any other undue behaviour as detailed in the Nintendo Code of Conduct, will be disqualified, and may have their Nintendo Account suspended or terminated.

Prizes are non-transferable. There are no cash or other prize alternatives.

    Delivery

Nintendo will deliver prizes to the Nintendo Account of the winners within two weeks of the event’s end date. Winners can confirm the delivery of the Gold Points by checking the My Nintendo Point Log (https://my.nintendo.com/point/history) when signed in.

    Additional terms and Privacy Policy

The Nintendo Account Agreement and Nintendo Account Privacy Policy as well as the Terms of the My Nintendo Rewards Programme apply.

    Good luck!
