Can I play Wii software, WiiWare or Wii Virtual Console titles using the Wii U GamePad?
When playing Wii software, including WiiWare and Wii Virtual Console titles, the Wii U operates in Wii Mode. Wii U GamePad features are disabled while Wii Mode is active, so it is not possible to play Wii software on the Wii U GamePad.
