Download the Nintendo Letter Box update to add new features today!

Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL owners will be pleased to hear that an update is now available for Nintendo Letter Box – the free software that allows you to send and receive animated letters to other users by StreetPass – introducing a number of new features that make using it not just easier, but even more fun too!

Attach photos and audio recordings to your letters from within Nintendo Letter Box itself, without needing to import them from Nintendo 3DS Camera or Nintendo 3DS Sound, use different coloured pens on each page of your letter, attach photos and sound when you reply to other people’s letters and more besides!

If you’ve been enjoying Nintendo Letter Box since it was first released, you’ll be pleased to know it’s now even easier to manage your missives. Sort your letters by sender and delete multiple letters at once, giving you more control over your incoming mail than ever before.

You can gain access to these new features by updating your Nintendo Letter Box software. To download the update, simply connect to Nintendo eShop from the HOME Menu of your Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 3DS XL system, then follow the on-screen instructions relating to software updates. Don’t worry about losing anything – all your saved content will still be there after updating!
