    Splatoon 2 DLC Is Not Appearing (Nintendo Switch Online In-Game Gear)

    Description:

    The Nintendo Switch Online downloadable content for Splatoon 2 isn’t appearing in the game.

    Important:

    • Distribution of download codes for the Nintendo Switch Online members exclusive offer of Splatoon 2 gear bonuses ended on 31 August 2022.
      • If you have a download code, you can download the reward until 31 August 2025.
    • DLC can only be used with versions of Splatoon 2 that are intended for the same region where the download code was issued. (For example, a download code sent to an American Nintendo Account will not work with a European version of the game.)
    • The information in this article applies to the Online Jersey and Online Squidkid V Shoes offered via download code to Nintendo Switch Online members.
    • For issues with the gear that is included with Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion, please read Unable to Access Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion.

    What to Do:

    • Complete the following steps to verify whether the DLC is appearing in your game:
      1. Make sure your game is updated to the latest version.
      2. Try redeeming the download code again.
      3. Check the Splatoon 2 icon on the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu to make sure the DLC has finished downloading. Once the download progress bar is full, the DLC will be available in your game.
      4. Check for the Splatoon 2 DLC items (Online Jersey and Online Squidkid V Shoes).
        • Start Splatoon 2. A large brown box will appear in front of your character in Inkopolis Square. Open the box to add the DLC items to your Gear.
        • At any time in Inkopolis Square, press the + Button to see your Gear.
    • If the DLC is still not appearing, you may have redeemed a download code from a region that is incompatible with your version of Splatoon 2. Verify whether the DLC is compatible:
      1. Confirm the region that your version of Splatoon 2 is compatible with.
        • From the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu, highlight the game and press the + Button to open the Options menu.
        • Select “Support Information” to display the list of supported regions for this version of Splatoon 2.
      2. Confirm the country/region that the DLC is intended for.
        • Download codes for European countries are sent from nintendo-noreply@ccg.nintendo.com.
        • A Nintendo Account that is set to a European country at the time of purchase will receive a download code for that region.
        • Download codes sent from a different e-mail address are not compatible with copies of Splatoon 2 for European countries.
      3. If the game and DLC regions do not match, the download code that you redeemed will not work with your version of the game.
