Taking part in the promotion

Claiming a free download code for your chosen Wii U game couldn't be easier!

Step 1

You'll need a Club Nintendo PIN code for the game Mario Kart 8. It can be found:

Inside the packaging of Mario Kart 8 software;
On-screen on Wii U:
- After purchasing the game in Nintendo eShop;
- After the redemption of a download code for a downloadable version of Mario Kart 8 in Nintendo eShop.

Step 2

Register the Club Nintendo PIN code for Mario Kart 8 in www.club-nintendo.com between 10:00 (UK time) on May 30th 2014 and 23:59 (UK time) on July 31st 2014.

Step 3

Choose which of the eligible games you wish to receive a download code for.

Eligible games and their approximate file sizes:

Nintendo Land (3576 MB)
New Super Mario Bros. U (2304 MB)
Game & Wario (4036 MB)
Pikmin 3 (4547 MB)
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (2467 MB)
Sonic Lost World (Wii U version) (8474 MB)
Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games (9748 MB)
Wii Party U (6571 MB)
The Wonderful 101 (12.9 GB) (PEGI 12)*
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Wii U version) (7021 MB) (PEGI 12)*

*Members of Club Nintendo who are below the age of 12 will not be able to request a download code for games rated 12 and above.

The request of a download code must be completed by 23:59 (UK time) on August 31st 2014. The download code will be sent to you via email to the email address registered in your Club Nintendo account within 48 hours.

Step 4

The download code can be used to download the chosen game from Nintendo eShop to any Wii U console**.

The download code expires at 22:59 (UK time) on September 30th 2014.

*Depending on the Wii U hardware pack you own and your use of it, an additional storage device may be required to download the chosen game from Nintendo eShop. Please visit our Support section for more information about Wii U storage.

How to download your free game

When you've received your free download code, head to Nintendo eShop on Wii U to redeem it. Just follow these simple instructions:

Step 1

Ensure that your Wii U console is connected to the internet. For more information on how to connect your console to the internet, see our Wii U Support page.

(Acceptance of the Nintendo Network Agreement and Privacy Policy is required)

Step 2

On the Wii U Menu or HOME Menu, select the Nintendo eShop icon to launch Nintendo eShop. For more information, see our Nintendo eShop page.

Step 3

Select "Enter Download Code" from the menu on the top of the screen, and follow the on-screen instructions to redeem the download code and begin downloading your game*. Please note that your Wii U will need to be connected to the internet for the duration of the download.
