In ancient times, a dark power known as the Black Blight spread across the land, transforming once-peaceful beasts into frenzied monsters. When all seemed lost, a noble warrior by the name of Redan fearlessly rode in atop a brilliant White Dragon, and defeated the Blight.

Now, a foul curse returns

After an age of peace, the Blight has returned. When your quiet hometown of Hakum Village is attacked by a Blighted Nargacuga, it’s down to you – and your furry Felyne companion, Navirou – to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Rider.

A group of friends bands together

Embark on an incredible quest to track down the truth! At your back, you’ll have support from a bunch of lively characters, and you’ll meet many more on your travels.

A new world to discover

Step into a vast new world, jam-packed with incredible places just waiting to be explored! From towering cities to quaint villages, scorching deserts to glistening coastlines, and frozen mountain peaks to lush tropical jungles, there’s so much to see!

As a promising young Rider, take on the Rite of Kinship, prove your potential and banish the Blight for good!

Become a Rider

Catch, hatch and customise a team of monsters

As a heroic Rider, you’ll form unbreakable bonds with tamed beasts known as Monsties. By harvesting and hatching eggs you find in Monster Dens, you’ll be able to raise more than 60 different creatures from the world of Monster Hunter as your own!

Make them your own

Modify your Monsties’ Genes to get the best out of ‘em. By altering their genetic makeup, you can improve their stats and grant them new skills!

Behind enemy lines

To get your hands on new Monsties, you’ll have to venture deep into dangerous Monster Dens. Get in, get out and hatch that egg! What could it be?!

Mount your Monsties and travel in style!

With their Riding Actions, your Monsties can reach places that you could only ever dream of. Some can swim across vast lakes, walk through lava or even soar through the skies. Walking is for suckers!

Be the Rider you want to be

Create a hero for the ages with the feature-rich character creator. Whether you choose to play as a girl or a boy, you can pick from a range of different hairstyles, fashions, skin tones and more.

Prepare for battle

Control the flow of the fight

In battle, your Monstie will fend for itself, but you’ll have control over your Rider’s actions. Decide whether to attack, use items or unleash special Rider Skills, and switch between a party of five Monsties to stay on top.

Battle with others

Put your team to the test – challenge nearby Riders via Local Play, or take the fight online*. Customise your clashes with different battle rules to level the playing field or turn up the heat!

Power, speed, technique

If an enemy targets your Rider, engage them in a Head-to-Head encounter! You can pull off three different types of attack – Power, Speed or Technical – each of which is weak to another. Reading your enemy’s attacks and countering with the right move is the key to success!

If you and your Monstie both choose the correct attack type in a Head-to-Head, you’ll team up for an epic Double Attack. Take that!

Ride on!

As you and your Monstie pull off successful attacks, you’ll build your Kinship meter. Fill it once, and you’ll be able to climb aboard your beast, combine your powers and unleash exclusive Kinship Skills. You can fill your Kinship meter several times over, allowing for even more powerful moves!

Show off

In the heat of battle, two monsters can test their mettle in awe-inspiring Power Clashes, Air Showdowns and Breath Blasts. These moments really show off the might of these beasts!

Level up

As the mystical power of your Kinship Stone grows stronger, you’ll be able to attract rarer and more powerful monsters to fight at your side!
