Update from the Squid Research Lab: check out the returning weapons in Splatoon 2
07/03/2017
Splatoon 2 comes to Nintendo Switch this summer and we can hardly contain our excitement! It features a lot of brand new content, including weaponry that we’ve never seen before, and we’re hard at work researching every last detail.
We’ll be bringing you updates in the future on all that’s new, but for now let’s take a look at some of the returning legacy weapons you may remember from the first game.
Splattershot
The tried-and-true Splattershot hasn’t changed drastically in Splatoon 2, so veteran Inklings will feel right at home with this weapon!
Splat Charger
This is the Splat Charger in Splatoon 2. Its design has changed a little from the original game, as have the designs of the Splat Roller and the Splattershot. These classic weapons are still among the most popular with Inklings.
Slosher
The crowd-favourite Slosher is also making a return in Splatoon 2. The keen-eyed observer may notice that slight cosmetic adjustments have been made to the Slosher’s handle and suspension arm.
Splatling
Remember this? It’s a returning Splatling-type weapon called the Heavy Splatling. The angle of the signature ink barrels has been adjusted to make for easier maintenance, but aside from that it functions just as the original model did.
Splat Roller
You didn’t think we’d forgotten about the trusty Splat Roller, did you? Fear not, it’s back and just as brutal as ever.
So there you have it, five returning classes of weaponry in Splatoon 2. We’ll have plenty of updates in the future, so stay tuned! Find out more about Splatoon 2 at our official Splatoon 2 gamepage, and get more updates at the official Splatoon Facebook page, where we publish our findings.
Staaaay fresh!
