A Hero's Horse

Fighting on horseback really makes you feel like a hero, but there are more ways than one to go about it. Try mounting Epona from the back rather than from the side - you'll hop on and Epona will start running. If you then press A to dash before you pull out your sword, Link will hold it above his head, ready for battle. If you approach a group of enemies, you can also do a back flip off Epona by quickly dismounting as you enter the fray.

Safety First

He may have his heart in the right place, but we cannot help but wonder if Barnes is the right person to run a bomb shop. On the other hand, he will make sure you obey the safety regulations of his explosive little enterprise. Try showing him your lantern or better yet, take it out upstairs where he can't see you... Or can he?

Gone Fishing

One of the nicest people you'll meet in Hyrule is Hena, the owner of the Fishing Hole. Not only will she teach you the ins and outs of lure fishing, her shop also has lots of information about one of Link's favourite pastimes. Any fish you catch with a lure will be kept in the aquarium, the ones caught with a bobber will be noted down in your Fish Journal.

Be sure to take a good look around the shop, especially at the photos on the wall. Do you think Hena and the legendary fisherman might be related? And what about her sister Iza do you also detect a hint of jealousy between the two girls? Whatever you do, be aware that there are limits to Hena's hospitality. Or how would you feel if one of your guests kept rolling around in your house?

Where's the Postman?

During your travels through Hyrule you'll sometimes find the Postman running after you, as he delivers letters that point you in the right direction. But without a horse like Epona at his disposal, the poor guy's legs are taxed even more than Link's, so he needs a break from time to time.

Take a good look around in Telma's bar for example, and you'll find him pondering over the menu. But his job takes him all across the land, so you could find him hiding in Zora's Domain, getting worried in Kakariko Village or a bit lost in Ordon Village, to name just a few places. Can you find them all?
