In her youth, Celica is rescued from a coup d'état in the kingdom of Zofia by the knight Mycen. She lives an unassuming life in a priory, ignorant of her past, until a series of unusual events compels her to venture to the temple of Mila, the Earth Mother, in search of answers. She soon discovers that she is actually a princess, and that Mila, who once safeguarded Zofia, has been sealed away by Rudolf, the emperor of Rigel.
Sword and magic at the ready, she fights to restore peace in Valentia—and in that new age of peace she comes to be lauded as Mila incarnate.
