Sigurd
A noble of House Chalphy of the kingdom
of Grannvale on the continent of Jugdral.
A holy knight who prizes goodness.
Sigurd is a descendant of House Chalphy, a family of holy knights who once clashed with the dark god Loptous to forestall the destruction of all Jugdral.
During a conflict between neighboring kingdoms he meets Deirdre, his destined love, and their union is blessed with a son they name Seliph. But soon Sigurd is dragged deep into a political strife that sees him branded unfairly as a traitor. Despite this, he continues to fight valiantly on behalf of the defenseless, dashing about the battlefield on his steed, sword in hand.
That sword is Tyrfing, a relic passed down through the generations of House Chalphy, and with it, Sigurd invades his own kingdom in an attempt to eliminate a treacherous retainer there. Unfortunately, he is ensnared in a trap by adherents of Loptous and suffers a tragic death at their hands. His legacy, and its accompanying quest for justice, pass to Seliph.
