System Settings Overview
Information:
- Access System Settings to configure important settings on the console such as user settings or the internet connection.
- Make sure your console is updated to the latest system version in order to access all available system settings.

The following settings are available on Nintendo Switch:

Support / Health & Safety
- Review the console's Safety Precautions
- Review the console's Error History
- Flight Mode
Turn on Flight Mode to disable all wireless communications, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. With Flight Mode enabled, you can then individually turn on the following types of wireless communication:
- Bluetooth (enables the use of wireless controllers and Bluetooth audio)
- Wi-Fi (enables internet connection and local wireless play)
- NFC (enables the use of amiibo)
Important:
Flight Mode cannot be set while the console is in TV Mode.
- Screen Brightness
- Enable or disable Automatic Brightness Adjustment.
- Use the slider to set the screen brightness manually.
These options cannot be configured while the console is in TV mode.
- Bluetooth Audio
- Screen Lock
Enable or disable a screen lock when the console goes into sleep mode.
- Parental Controls
Watch a video about Parental Controls or adjust Parental Control settings. Parental Controls be used to restrict features of the console and can be configured from the console or using your smart device.

- Review the details of your connection status, when connected.
- Data Management
- Review your current System Memory and microSD Card storage usage.
- Move downloaded software data between the system memory and microSD card.
- Quick Archive software that has not been played recently.
- Manage downloaded software.
- Manage Save Data Cloud settings and backups. Requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
- Transfer your save data to another Nintendo Switch console.
- Manage your screenshots and videos.
- Users
- Access individual user settings.
- Change the order users are displayed.
- Add or delete a user.
- Transfer your user data to another Nintendo Switch console.
- Mii
Create or edit a Mii character which can be used in compatible software.
- amiibo
- Register amiibo to use with compatible software.
- Delete Game Data tied to an amiibo.
- Reset an amiibo to remove all data associated with it.
- Themes
Change the current Theme which affects the appearance of the console's menus.
- Notification
Change the notification settings, including "Download Complete" notifications, Friend notifications, and Alarm notifications.
- Sleep Mode
- Configure Auto-Sleep timing when playing on the console screen and when connected to a TV.
- Adjust Auto-Sleep behavior when playing media content.
- Manage whether a wired internet connection is maintained while the console is in sleep mode.
- Manage whether the console automatically wakes from sleep mode when removed from the dock or AC Adapter.
- Controllers and Sensors
- Configure various controller settings, including the following:
- Change the grip/order of controllers.
- Set customized button mapping for individual controllers.
- Enable or diable controller vibration.
- Enable wired communication for a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

Configure TV settings such as TV resolution, RGB range, screen size, screen burn-in reduction, and TV sound.

- Manage whether to display the current battery percentage on the HOME Menu.
