In order to download content from Nintendo eShop, you'll need the required amount of available storage space on your Wii U console.
The Premium Pack console has 32 GB of internal flash memory, and the Basic Pack console has 8 GB. (Click here for more details about Wii U storage). In addition to the internal flash memory, external USB storage can be used to increase maximum storage capacity.
It's possible to expand the amount of available storage space with an external USB storage device, such as a hard disk drive (HDD), sold separately. The maximum amount of storage supported by Wii U is 2 TB (terabytes).
Please note that it is not possible to download content purchased from Nintendo eShop directly to SD Card.
